The U.S. HIV & AIDS Faith Coalition issued a Letter to Senators and Members of Congress today expressing grave concerns about recent actions by the White House that threaten to severely impede effective HIV prevention, treatment, care, and support. The Faith Coalition called on Senators and Members of Congress to have mercy on the people they were elected to serve by restoring and protecting “vital HIV programs, their staffing, and their funding. It is the good, right, and moral thing to do.” Read the full letter, here.

 

There are reports that the Trump administration intends to make drastic cuts to HIV funding, including the elimination of the CDC HIV Prevention Division. This could happen within the next 24 hours. This is urgent! Please call your Senators and Representatives and tell them to do everything they can to stop these cuts.
